Avril Phædra Douglas “Kim” Campbell was born in Port Alberni, British Columbia on March 10, 1947. She is a Canadian politician, lawyer, university professor, diplomat and writer. She served as the the first and only female Prime Minister from June 25, 1993 to November 4, 1993. She wrote a memoir called Time and Chance that was published in 1996.
