Helen Mirren was born Helen Lydia Mironoff in Chiswick, West London on July 26, 1945. She is an English actress who has won many awards over the years. In addition to her films, she has performed on Broadway and on television. On January 3, 2013 she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Helen Mirren has been quoted as saying this on motherhood; “I’m just not interested. I’ve no maternal instinct whatsoever. And I don’t think I’m so unusual. I think an awful lot of women don’t really want children but feel they ought to. They think there’s something wrong with them if they don’t want to, but it’s not true. I’m so happy I don’t have children. But I do love children and I’ve got family, and Taylor has children that I’m involved with – and with great pleasure – but it’s just not for me.” According to an article in Marie Claire, Mirren says she was traumatized as a teenager by an educational childbirth video she had to watch. “I swear it traumatized me to this day,” she said. “I haven’t had children, and now I can’t look at anything to do with childbirth. It absolutely disgusts me.”
