Betty White was born in Oak Park, Illinois on January 17, 1922. She is an American actress, comedienne, singer, author, animal activist and television personality. She has won a Grammy Award and six Emmy Awards and has received twenty Emmy nominations. She is probably most well known for her role as Rose Nylund on The Golden Girls which ran from 1985-2000.
